This year will be the first year since 1993 (I think it was then at least) that a Canadian team wins the Stanley Cup. I was in North Carolina when Carolina won last year - not many people really noticed what was going on until the very end. Up in Canada, they will cherish it for years to come. I am cheering for Ottawa all the way to the Stanley Cup championship.
For those who might not be following the news, Ottawa is up 3-0 in their series against Buffalo! - destiny is waiting!

I didn't even know the Stanley Cup games were on. That sure marks me as American.

I'm not following them either...I must be American too...weird!
I picked Ottawa to win in my hockey pool--and I am winning the hockey pool too, so I guess that makes me totally CANADIAN.
